Marketplace Connect product listing requirements

When you list a Shopify product to a marketplace, you need to ensure that it meets the product requirements for the marketplace that you're listing it on. Each marketplace has specific product listing guidelines that you need to follow:

Amazon, Walmart, and eBay also require that each product has a unique product identifier, such as a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), Universal Product Code (UPC), or Manufacturer Part Number (MPN). If you sell products that don't have unique product identifiers, such as private label goods, then you need to apply for an exemption from those marketplaces. Learn more about unique product identifiers.

Some product information required by marketplaces isn't part of your product details in your Shopify admin. To include and sync these required details from your Shopify products to your marketplace listings, learn how to customize your product listings with metafields and attribute mapping.
