Submitting your app

Congratulations! You've come a long way and you're at the final step — publishing your app in the App Store.

First you want to make sure your app works before submitting it. The App Approval team tests all apps before publishing them to the App Store. If they hit a bug, they will stop testing and tell you about it before continuing or the app may be rejected.

Prepare your application for future installations by making sure that the installation process is as seamless as possible. If your application integrates with other software make sure that the user understands what he or she must do to get your application up and running with a clear onboarding flow. If there are any special instructions that the user must follow, make those instructions stand out.

If store owners have your app installed for a few weeks, ask them to review your app on the App Store. Reviews are important for increasing your install rate. However, you should not ask merchants to review your app during the onboarding process.

To submit your app to the App store:

  1. Log in to your Partner Dashboard.

  2. Click Apps.

  3. Click the name of your app.

  4. Click Create App Store Listing:

  5. Fill out all required fields. If you're not sure what's required, then click See what's missing:

  6. Click Save.

  7. Click Get ready to submit for publication.

  8. Complete the submission checklist and click Submit to publishing queue.
