California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a California law that was passed in June 2018. The CCPA gives California residents more control over their personal information. If your website is available to California residents or you are involved in the sale of California residents’ personal information, then this law likely applies to you. The following sections are available to help you understand your obligations under the CCPA and to help you prepare. Shopify can’t give you legal advice, so if you have any further questions, then consult a local lawyer or privacy professional.
