Customizing payment methods in Checkout Blocks

Checkout Blocks lets you customize payment methods in checkout in the following ways:

  • Hide payment methods: Conditionally hide payment methods based on a number of cart rules, such as minimum spend, shipping destination, customer tag, or product collection.
  • Rename payment methods: Rename payment methods, including adding a prefix or suffix.
  • Reorder payment methods: Rearrange payment methods to change the default selected payment method.

Considerations for customizing payment methods

Before you create a payment customization, review the following considerations:

  • You can have up to 5 payment method customizations active at one time across all apps.
  • Draft orders aren't supported.
  • Payment customizations don't run on Shop Pay, including Shop Pay Installments.
  • Wallets within the express payment options section can be hidden, but not reordered.
  • Hiding non-express payment methods is the only customization type that supports conditional rules.
  • Renaming payment methods works only on payment methods that don't have a logo, such as Cash on Delivery.
