Upgrading and replacing your Thank you and Order status pages
Customers access the Thank you and Order status pages on your store after they place an order.
The Thank you page displays to customers after they complete checkout, and is a one-time page that the customer can't access again. It provides confirmation of the order, and confirms that the checkout was successful. The Thank you page displays a confirmation number instead of an order number.
After an order is created, the customer receives an order confirmation notification, which links to the Order status page. A customer can revisit their Order status page multiple times to track and manage an order.
Shopify has introduced a new foundation for checkout and accounts that's more secure, upgrade-safe, and lets you more easily customize your checkout and customer accounts pages. This includes a new version of the Thank you and Order status pages, which are customizable in the checkout and accounts editor.
If you've previously customized your Thank you and Order status pages with incompatible apps, scripts, or pixels, then you're required to upgrade and replace your existing customizations so that you and your customers can continue to benefit from Shopify's secure checkout platform.
The required steps and deadline for upgrading to the new Thank you and Order status page depend on your plan type:
- If you're on a Plus plan, then you have until August 28, 2025 to upgrade and replace your Thank you and Order status pages.
- If you're on a non-Plus plan, then you have until August 26, 2026 to upgrade and replace your Thank you and Order status pages.
