Pinning metafield definitions

You can organize the metafields in your Shopify admin by pinning metafield definitions. Pinning a metafield definition has the following effects:

• The metafield definition is displayed at the start of the list on the Metafield definitions page for that part of your store.
• The metafield is automatically displayed on the corresponding pages in your Shopify admin.

The order of your pinned metafield definitions determines the order in which your Metafields are displayed on the corresponding pages in your Shopify admin. By default, only pinned metafields are automatically displayed. You can access any metafields that aren't pinned by clicking View all. You can pin up to 20 definitions for each part of your store.

You can pin or unpin a metafield definition in either of the following ways:

• when you add or edit a definition
• at any time from the Metafield definitions page

On the Metafield definitions page, you can pin a metafield definition by clicking the pin icon:
