Set up your domain with Network Solutions

If you have a domain from Network Solutions, then you need to reconfigure your DNS settings to point the domain at your Shopify store.

Make sure that you've added your custom domain by clicking Connect existing domain on the Domains page of your Shopify admin.


  1. Open the Network Solutions Account Manager login page.

  2. Under the Log In to drop-down list, choose Manage My Domain Names.

  3. Enter your credentials and click Login.

  4. Click Continue to Account Manager.

  5. Under My Domain Names, click Edit DNS.

  6. Under the My Products & Services tab, click Change Where Domain Points:

  7. Click the Advanced DNS radio button:

  8. Click Continue.

  9. Click Edit A Records.

  10. Click the delete checkbox next to the www record:

  11. Click Continue.

  12. Change the Numeric IP for @ (None) to Shopify's IP address: Copy .

  13. Confirm the changes, and acknowledge that they might take several hours to update.

Set up your CNAME records

To add a CNAME record for the www subdomain:

  1. Click Edit CNAME Records:

  2. Under Alias, enter www.

  3. Click the Other Host radio button.

  4. Enter Copy in the Other Host text box:

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Click Save Changes.

  7. Click Verify connection in your Shopify admin to confirm that your custom domain has been connected to your store. It can take up to 48 hours for changes to take effect.

If you want to add more subdomains, you can repeat this process to add another CNAME record.
