Editing your contact information for your Shopify-managed domain
If you have a Shopify-managed domain, then you can access and edit your contact information from the Domains section in your Shopify admin. You might need to edit your contact information for the following reasons:
- to change the email address where you receive notifications about your domain subscription
- to update the phone number, mailing address, or store name that's associated with your domain
- to change your WHOIS privacy settings for your domain
By default, the Shopify store owner's email address and information are used for the purchase and renewal of domains. Make sure that your email address is up to date so that you receive notifications about your domain subscription.

Considerations before you edit your contact information
Before you edit the contact information for your Shopify-managed domain, review the following considerations:

Change contact information for .at and .fr domains
Due to Austrian and French regulations, WHOIS contact information for .at
and .fr
domains cannot be updated from your Shopify admin. If you want to change the contact information on a .at
or .fr
domain, then you and the domain's new owner need to complete a corresponding compliance form, and submit it to Shopify Support for processing. The form must be completed in full and the domain's current contact information must exactly match to prevent any delays in the process. You can find your domain contact information in your Shopify admin by following the steps to edit your domain contact information.
Changing the contact information on a .at

or .fr
domain.
