Oberlo Chrome extension

If you dropship products from aliexpress.com, then the Oberlo Chrome extension can save you time while running your business:

  • Import products to your Shopify store from aliexpress.com.
  • Show additional shipping information while you browse for products on aliexpress.com.
  • Process orders that contain products from aliexpress.com.

Add the extension

You must be using the following to use the Oberlo Chrome extension:

  • A desktop or laptop computer
  • Google's Chrome browser (you can download it here if you don't have it)

The Oberlo Chrome extension doesn't work with other browsers and also isn't compatible with mobile devices or tablets.

Steps:

  1. Visit the extension's Google Chrome store page.
  2. Click Add to Chrome:

Show additional shipping information

The Oberlo Chrome extension has settings to show additional shipping information when you browse for products on aliexpress.com. The extension helps you see the cost of shipping each product to your selected country using your chosen shipping method. You can filter out products that don't ship to that country or use that shipping method.

Steps:

  1. While using the Chrome browser on a computer, visit aliexpress.com.
  2. Navigate to a product category page, or use the search tool to search for products.
  3. When on the category or search results page, click the Oberlo Chrome extension icon:

  4. Adjust the shipping cost settings, and then click Update Settings.

Add products to your import list

You can use the Oberlo Chrome extension to add products from aliexpress.com to your import list in Oberlo. For more information and steps, see Add products while on aliexpress.com.

Place and fulfill orders

The Oberlo Chrome extension adds your customer's information to the AliExpress checkout when you place your orders during fulfillment. For more information on how to fulfill orders that contain items from AliExpress, see Placing and fulfilling AliExpress Orders.

If you're on the Oberlo Basic or Pro subscription plan, then the Oberlo Chrome extension can solve any CAPTCHAs from aliexpress.com when you place your orders. If you're not on the Basic or Pro subscription plan and want the Oberlo Chrome extension to solve CAPTCHAs for you, then you can upgrade your plan.

Troubleshoot the extension

If you experience any issues with the Oberlo Chrome extension, then first try to reinstall it. Visit the extension's Chrome Store page, and then click Remove from Chrome. When it is removed, click Add to Chrome on the same page to reinstall the extension. If the issue continues, then review the messages and solutions below.

"Please fill in the right email" message

You are not signed in to your AliExpress buyer's account and are checking out as a guest.

Do not fill in your customer's email address in the AliExpress checkout in this situation because AliExpress will send order confirmation emails to your customer instead of them being sent to your email address.

To resolve this issue, log into your AliExpress buyer's account before starting the fulfillment process within Oberlo. If you don't have an AliExpress buyer's account, you can sign up for one at aliexpress.com.

"It is taking too long to load this page" message

This message appears when a product is out of stock or no longer available from the supplier. Check the text below the product options on the product's AliExpress page:

If the product isn't available, then look for another supplier who sells the same item and order it from them. If you want to replace your current supplier, you need to use the Override a product feature. Oberlo replaces your current product and its variants with a link to the new supplier. After you override the supplier for the product, try to process your order again.

If you don't find another supplier, then refund and cancel the order or contact your customer to reach a resolution.

"SKU button is disabled" message

The product variant is out of stock or no longer available from the supplier. Look for another supplier who sells the same item and order it from them.

If you want to replace your current supplier, use the Override a product feature. Oberlo replaces your current product and its variants with a link to the new supplier. Once complete, try to process your order again.

If you don't find another supplier, then refund and cancel the order or contact your customer to reach a resolution.

"Matching order not found" message

You need to re-sync the order details to process the order.

Steps:

  1. In your AliExpress account's Orders section, copy the Order ID for the order that needs re-syncing:

  2. From your Oberlo dashboard, go to the Orders page.
  3. Find the order that needs re-syncing, and then click Add next to the Ali Order No:

  4. Paste the Order ID in the text field and click Save. The status of the order changes from To order to In Processing.

"More Than One Matching Order Found" message

This message appears when the same customer places two or more orders with the same items. To fix this issue, manually assign the Order ID from AliExpress to the appropriate order in Oberlo.

Steps:

  1. In your AliExpress account's Orders section, copy the Order ID for one of the orders:

  2. From your Oberlo dashboard, go to the Orders page.
  3. Find the matching order and click Add next to the Ali Order No:

  4. Paste the Order ID in the text field and click Save. The status of the order will change from To order to In Processing.
  5. Repeat for the additional order(s).

"Oberlo extension could not fill shipping info" message

No shipping information is entered into the Shopify order. To fix this issue, open the order in your Shopify admin and fill in the customer's shipping information. Then, place the order in Oberlo again.

Steps:

  1. In your Shopify account, go to the Orders section.
  2. Click on the order number of the order that needs the shipping information added.
  3. Next to the Shipping Address on the right, click Edit:

  4. Fill in the customer's shipping information and click Save
  5. From your Oberlo dashboard, go to the Orders page, and then scroll to the order that you want to fulfill.
  6. Place the order in Oberlo again.

To prevent this issue in the future, make sure that all your products have the This is a physical product option selected in your product settings:

If a product doesn't have this setting, then the customer is not asked for their shipping information at checkout which can lead to the Oberlo extension could not fill shipping info message.
