Disputing a charge on your Shopify Balance account

If you encounter a transaction that you believe is incorrect in your Shopify Balance account, then you can dispute it.

If you suspect that your Shopify Balance card has been compromised, lost, stolen, or fraudulently used, then you need cancel the card and request a replacement immediately to safeguard your account, and prevent any further unauthorized activity.

If you notice an Automated Clearing House (ACH) debit transaction that isn't authorized, then you can do one of the following actions:

  • If a charge is less than 1 business day old, then you can manually dispute the charge in your Shopify admin.
  • If a charge is older than 1 business day, then contact Shopify Support to report the transaction.
