Migrating from the legacy Order Printer app to Shopify Order Printer app

You can import your custom templates from the legacy Order Printer app to the new Shopify Order Printer app in a few steps. When you import your templates, the Liquid variables used by the templates are automatically updated wherever possible to ensure compatibility with the new app.

Considerations for importing your existing templates

  • Don't uninstall the legacy app until you import your templates to the new app.
  • Both apps must be installed on your Shopify admin to import your templates

Migrate your existing templates to the Shopify Order Printer app

You can migrate your existing templates from the legacy Order Printer app to the new Shopify Order Printer app.

Steps:

  1. Install the Shopify Order Printer app to your store.
  2. From your Shopify admin, go to the new Shopify Order Printer app.
  3. Click Templates.
  4. Click Import
  5. In the Import templates dialog, click Import.
  6. Preview your templates and make sure that the templates display correctly.
  7. Optional: Print test documents.
