Choosing and editing your carbon-neutral shipping subscription plan

You can use Planet to choose and edit your carbon-neutral shipping plan, helping you to reduce the environmental impact of your shipping and contribute to a more sustainable future. Learn more about the carbon-neutral shipping options and subscription plans offered through Planet.

Note

Billing cap refers to the maximum amount that you can be billed by Planet per 30-day billing cycle. If you reach your billing cap, then payments from you and your customers are paused until you increase your limit or until the next billing cycle begins.

New member

If you're a new Planet user, then you can choose your carbon-neutral shipping option and subscription plan after you install the Planet app.

Steps:

1. Go to the Planet page on the Shopify App Store.
2. Click Add app to install and connect Planet to your store.
3. Review the app permissions, and then click Install app.
4. Choose between the Pioneer, Community, or Alliance options based on your preference.
5. If you selected the Pioneer or Alliance option, then choose a subscription plan that determines your contribution per order. You can select from the Decade, Century, or Millennium plans.
6. In the Summary section, review your selection.
7. In the Billing cap section, you can edit the maximum amount that you can pay for carbon-neutral shipping per month.
8. In the Save your subscription settings section, click Activate to save your subscription settings.

Edit your subscription

If you're an existing Planet user, then you can make changes to your carbon-neutral shipping settings and subscription. If you installed Planet before Jan 31, 2024, and you haven't changed your subscription settings, then by default, you’re on the Pioneer plan.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.
2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Planet.
3. Click Open app.
4. Click Settings and Tools > Edit Subscription.
5. Choose between the Pioneer, Community, or Alliance options based on your preference.
6. If you selected the Pioneer or Alliance option, then choose a subscription plan that determines your contribution per order. You can select from the Decade, Century, or Millennium plans.
7. In the Summary section, review your selection.
8. In the Billing cap section, you can edit the maximum amount that you can pay for carbon-neutral shipping per month.
9. In the Save your subscription settings section, click Save.
