Considerations before using Shopify Fulfillment Network
Before installing the Shopify Fulfillment Network app, review the following considerations:
- The Shopify Fulfillment Network app is available only to businesses fulfilling out of the United States. Your business can be based outside of the United States, but you'll be responsible for sending your inventory into the United States for fulfillment.
- You must comply with the product guidelines and adhere to the packaging and inbound shipment standards of your selected third-party logistics service (3PL).

Connect a 3PL
Setting up fulfillment settings with your 3PL
After you connect your store with a 3PL, you can perform the following tasks:
- Create a transfer to send your inventory to your 3PL.
- Pack your products and ship them to one of your 3PL's locations.
- Assign customer-facing names to your 3PL's shipping options.
- Add shipping rates to the location assigned for your 3PL. For example, if you use Flexport, then add shipping rates to the SFN-Flexport location.
- Set priority rules for routing orders.
