Shopify Shipping with Purolator

If you're shipping from a location in Canada, then you can buy Shopify Shipping labels from Purolator. You can drop off packages at a drop-off location and ship them domestically.

Considerations for shipping packages with Purolator

  • Shopify Shipping with Purolator ships only domestically within Canada and doesn't support international destinations.
  • Ensure that your shipment meets Purolator's Terms and Conditions of Service as it pertains to dangerous goods and hazardous materials.
  • Pickups aren't available with Purolator. You need to drop off your package at a Purolator location.

Currently, Shopify Shipping doesn't support pickups with Purolator.

Purolator signature required service

You can add a signature requirement to shipments with Purolator for $3.49 CAD. To set your shipments to require a signature upon delivery, select Signature required when you buy a shipping label for your order.

Package requirements for Purolator domestic shipments

The following are the maximum values that Purolator allows for domestic shipments:

  • maximum weight is 150 lb (68 kg)
  • maximum length is 108 inches (274 cm)
  • the maximum length and girth combined (length + 2x width + 2x height) is 165 inches (419 cm)

Submitting shipping claims for Purolator shipments

If you're using Purolator with Shopify Shipping and your Purolator shipment is lost or damaged, then contact Purolator Support.

Included insurance coverage for Purolator shipments

Purolator offers coverage of up to $2.00 CAD per lb ($4.41 CAD per kg) of package weight for lost and damaged packages.

Submitting a shipping claim for a lost Purolator shipment

If your Purolator shipment is lost, then you can submit a claim within 9 months of the date that the package was shipped. To initiate a shipping claim with Purolator, submit a shipping claim with Purolator. You can't submit a shipping claim directly to Shopify.

Submitting a shipping claim for a damaged Purolator shipment

If your Purolator shipment is damaged, then you can submit a shipping claim with Purolator. You can't submit a shipping claim directly to Shopify. You must submit a claim for damage within 60 days of the delivery date if the damage is evident upon delivery, or within 21 days of the delivery date if the damage is concealed.

Submitting a shipping claim for a late Purolator shipment

If your Purolator shipment is delivered late, then you might be eligible for a refund. You must submit a claim for a late delivery within 15 days of the billing date. Contact Purolator Support to learn more.
