Shopify Shipping with Yodel

If you're shipping from a location in the United Kingdom, then you can buy Shopify Shipping labels from Yodel. You can drop off packages at a drop-off location and ship them domestically.

The shipping rates that you're charged are based on Shopify's account with Yodel.

Considerations for shipping packages with Yodel

Review the following considerations when using Shopify Shipping with Yodel:

  • Pickups aren't available with Yodel. You need to drop off your packages at a Yodel Direct location.
  • To purchase Yodel shipping labels, the location fulfilling the order must have a +44 country code phone number.
  • A customer email address is required to purchase Yodel shipping labels.
  • Yodel doesn't offer signature on delivery or proof of age on delivery services.
  • Shopify Shipping with Yodel ships only domestically within the United Kingdom and doesn't support international destinations.
  • Make sure that the products you're shipping meet the Yodel prohibited items requirements.

You can drop off your products at a Yodel Direct location. Find your nearest Yodel Direct location.

Domestic shipping with Yodel

You can ship packages using Yodel only within the United Kingdom. Yodel doesn't have guaranteed delivery times, but they aim to deliver shipments within 2 working days. The day that the package is dropped off isn't included in this estimate.

Package requirements for Yodel domestic shipments

  • maximum weight is 10 kg (22 lb)
  • maximum dimensions are 90 x 50 x 50 cm (35.4 x 19.6 x 19.4 inches)

Submitting shipping claims for Yodel shipments

If you're using Yodel with Shopify Shipping and your Yodel shipment is lost or damaged, then you can submit a shipping claim with Shopify Shipping Support.

Included insurance coverage for Yodel shipments

Yodel offers coverage for lost or damaged packages up to a maximum of £25 GBP plus up to £2 GBP for the shipping cost.

Submit a claim for lost or damaged Yodel shipments

If your Yodel shipment is lost or damaged, then you need to submit your claim as soon as you discover that a package was lost or damaged. Yodel needs to receive notice of a claim within 11 days from the date that the package was dropped off at a Yodel Direct location. Shopify Shipping Support also needs time to process and direct your claim to Yodel before the liability period expires with the full information requested below.

To initiate a shipping claim with Yodel, submit a shipping claim in the Shopify admin and include the following information in your claim:

  • proof of value of the products in the order, such as a copy of the order confirmation page
  • for damaged packages, at least 3 photos that display:
    • all of the items in the package
    • the damaged goods in their entirety
    • the condition of the shipping package
    • optional: additional photos of the outside and inside of the package are recommended
