Shipping with Managed Markets

To ship your international orders with Managed Markets, your shipments need to meet multiple shipping requirements. You can buy labels only from one of five specific shipping services in order to gain the benefits of the Merchant of Record model. You can't use your own negotiated rates with Managed Markets shipping services.

Some countries have unique shipping regulations that you need to meet so that your shipments reach your customers. Failing to meet these regulations can result in the shipment being delayed, returned, or destroyed. Learn more about requirements for specific countries.

Shipping services with Managed Markets

You can choose from five shipping services when shipping your Managed Markets orders:

Prices for shipping services with Managed Markets

The price to ship a parcel with Managed Markets shipping services is subject to change. If prices for shipping your packages increase, then you can offset this cost by increasing the price of your products.

Value restrictions for Managed Markets

The maximum order value for shipping with Managed Markets is $25,000 USD, but value restrictions for specific product categories might vary per destination country.

Certain product categories, such as jewelry or watches, can't exceed $5,000 USD value per individual item. For example, if you're selling jewelry, then you can still buy a shipping label for up to $25,000 USD value, but you need to ensure that individual jewelry items don't exceed $5,000 USD value.

Shipping insurance for Managed Markets orders

If you use Managed Markets and your store is on the Shopify, Advanced Shopify, or Plus plan, then your labels for Managed Markets orders also include up to $200 USD of shipping insurance. If you use Managed Markets and your store is on the Basic plan, then insurance is not included, but you can purchase insurance for your orders.

You need to meet the following requirements to be eligible for shipping insurance:

Up to $200 USD of shipping insurance is automatically included on each eligible label at no cost if your store is on the Shopify, Advanced Shopify, or Plus plan. When you purchase a shipping label, the included shipping insurance displays in the SHIPPING INSURANCE section. If your order's value is over $200 USD, then you can purchase insurance for the full shipment value or add a custom amount, up to $5,000 USD.
