Markets

Previously, markets were composed only of specific countries or regions. Markets have now been expanded, and can be used to represent specific sets of customers by creating markets and submarkets. Review the following key changes that include with the new Markets:

  • The Markets page has been moved from the Settings page to your store's main navigation in your Shopify admin. In addition, the experience of working with markets has been redesigned to make it easier to review customizations that have been made for a specific market, and how your markets are performing.
  • The Catalogs page has been moved from the Products section to the new Markets section in your Shopify admin.
  • You can create markets that operate within existing markets by using submarkets. Submarkets inherit customizations from the market that they're created from, making the creation of markets faster and easier.
  • Each market that you create can be customized for the customers in that market, including specific product catalogs, currency, and theme customizations.

Before getting started, review the overview of Markets capabilities and considerations.
