Backup region in Markets
Markets determine the experience of your customers in your online store. When a customer matches at least one market, then their experience is determined by that market.
When a customer doesn't match at least one market, then your backup region is displayed. Every store that uses Markets is required to have a backup region. Select your backup region based on the experience that you want to display to them if they don't match any of your existing markets.
The backup region is displayed to a customer in the following examples:
- You have active markets for the United States and Canada. A customer from Australia visits your online store.
- You have a B2B company location that doesn't have an address and isn't part of a specific market, or a market that includes all company locations in all regions.
- You have active markets for the United States and for company locations in the United States. You have a company location with an address in Canada.
