Setting up Facebook Messenger

After you’ve confirmed your store’s eligibility for the Messenger channel, you can add it to Shopify.
Add the Messenger sales channel
Steps:
- From your Shopify admin, click the
+
button beside the Sales channels heading. - On the Add sales channel dialog, click Messenger to learn more about the sales channel.
- Click Add channel.
- From the Shopify app, tap Store.
- Tap Add channel beside Sales channels.
- From the Add sales channel screen, tap Messenger.
- Tap Add Messenger.
- From the Shopify app, tap Store.
- Tap the
+
button beside Sales channels. - From the Add sales channel screen, tap Messenger.
- Tap ADD MESSENGER.
After you've reviewed the terms of service, click Connect account and follow the prompts to give Shopify permission to view your public profile, manage your Pages, and send messages from Pages you manage.
In the Facebook page section, select the Facebook page that you want to connect to the Messenger channel, and then click Connect page.
Remove the Messenger sales channel
When you remove the Messenger channel, the widget that customers see on your checkout page will also be removed. Customers will stop receiving updates from you.
Steps:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Sales Channels.
- From the Shopify app, go to Store > Settings.
- Under Store settings, tap Sales channels.
- From the Shopify app, go to Store > Settings.
- Under Store settings, tap Sales channels.
- Click the trash icon beside Messenger.
