Setting up and managing eBay listings

You can customize your eBay listings by setting eBay listing defaults and turning off image sync. To list and edit your products, refer to Listing and editing your products on third-party marketplaces using the Marketplace Connect app.

Condition definitions

When you list a product on eBay, you need to select a condition definition. To learn more about condition definitions, refer to the Item condition ID and name values page.

Set up default eBay listing settings

You can set up default eBay listing settings that you can apply to future listings. Your existing listings aren't affected by your default listing settings. You can set up the following eBay defaults listing settings:

  • Default eBay price rule: This setting lets you set a constant value, percentage increase or decrease, or dollar increase or decrease relative to your Shopify catalog price, and applies price rounding if desired.
  • Default eBay quantity rule: This setting lets you set a fixed inventory value, buffer, or maximum quantity for product inventory on an eBay listing.
    • For example, if you set a buffer of 2 when your store inventory is 5 for a product, then the listing displays 3 of that item in stock.
    • For example, if you set a maximum quantity of 5, then a maximum quantity of 5 always displays on listings, unless your store inventory drops below 5 for that item, in which case the listing displays the actual inventory.
  • Default Shipping Services: This setting lets you choose the shipping services that you want to offer for your listings on eBay.
  • Return policy: This setting lets you set whether returns are accepted on a listing, the return time period, the refund type, and whether you or the customer pays for the return shipping.
  • Auto categorization: This setting lets you select whether you manually set the eBay categories for your product, or you want Marketplace Connect to automatically categorize listings into the most relevant eBay categories.
  • Auto-list products: This setting lets you select whether to automatically list your products to eBay with the defaults that you selected.

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.
