Setting up the Roblox sales channel

You can install and set up the Roblox sales channel in your Shopify admin. You can connect your Roblox account, sync your Shopify products to Roblox, and manage your product availability.

You use the Roblox Creator Hub to turn your Shopify products into commerce products for selling on Roblox.

Install the Roblox sales channel

1. Go to the Roblox app page on the Shopify App Store.
2. Click Install if you're already logged in to your Shopify account, or click Log in to install with your Shopify account details.
3. On the Install app page, click Install.

Set up the Roblox sales channel

After you've installed the Roblox sales channel in your Shopify admin, you need to connect your Roblox account to Shopify. You can then sync your products from Shopify to your Roblox Creator Hub, and share your Shopify product catalog with any Roblox groups that you own.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.

2. Click Roblox.

3. Click Open sales channel.

4. On the Setup your Roblox account page, to connect your Roblox account, click Connect, and then do any of the following:

   • If you're already logged in to your Roblox account, then click Continue.
   • If you want to choose a different Roblox account, click Change Account, and then select the Roblox account that you want.
   • If you're not already logged in to your Roblox account, then enter your Roblox account details and log in.

5. After you log in to your Roblox account, click Confirm and Give Access.

6. Optional: If your Roblox experience is owned by a group, and you want to let all the group's members use your synced Shopify catalog items in Roblox, then do the following:

   1. In the Group Permissions section, click Add groups.
   2. In the Roblox dialog, select the groups that you want to give access to.

7. To sync your products for selling on Roblox, click Next.

8. Click Add Products.

9. Select the products that you want to sync to Roblox, and then click Add.

10. Click Finish.

Creating your commerce products in Roblox

After you sync your products from Shopify to Roblox, you need to set up your products for selling on Roblox. Follow the instructions on how to create commerce products and implement a purchase prompt in your experience.

Note

It might take up to 5 business days for your products to go through review and moderation by Roblox before you can sell them.

Manage your Roblox catalog in Shopify

In the Roblox sales channel in Shopify, you can add more products to your Roblox catalog or remove products.

Before you add more products to your Roblox catalog, you need to check that the products are available to the Roblox sales channel.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.

2. Click Roblox.

3. Click Open sales channel.

4. Click Catalog.

5. Optional: To add more products to your Roblox catalog:

   1. Click Add Products.
   2. Select the products that you want to sync to Roblox, and then click Add.

6. Optional: To remove products from your Roblox catalog:

   1. From the list, select the products that you want to remove from your Roblox catalog.
   2. Click Remove.
   3. In the dialog, click Remove.

Making changes to your Roblox products in Shopify

If you update certain product details in your Shopify admin for a product that's already synced to Roblox, then your changes don't immediately display in Roblox.

If you change a product's title, update a product description, or add new product images, then your changes don't display until they've been reviewed by Roblox. The product remains available to sell with its previously approved content. The review can take up to 5 business days.

If you have a Shopify product that's bundled with a virtual benefit in Roblox, and you update the price of the product in your Shopify admin, then the related commerce product in Roblox is deactivated and can't be sold until it's been processed again for digital bundling fees.

Checkout experience for gamers using Roblox

When gamers purchase products from your experience, they complete their transaction using the Shopify checkout on the Roblox platform.

A gamer taps a button to view a product when the option displays, and then they can select any relevant options for the product that they're purchasing, such as size or color.

The gamer then completes their purchase on the Shopify checkout, and any linked avatar item or developer product is granted.

Disconnect your Roblox account from Shopify.

You can disconnect your Roblox account from the Roblox sales channel in Shopify at any time.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.

2. Click Roblox.

3. Click Open sales channel.

4. Click Account.

5. Click Disconnect for the Roblox account that you want to disconnect.
