Syncing Shop product reviews with partner apps

If you use a supported partner app to collect product reviews in addition to Shop, then you can choose to display partner app-collected reviews on Shop, as well as display Shop reviews on your online store using a partner app.

Supported partner apps

The following partner apps are supported to sync with Shop product reviews:

• Judge.me
• Loox
• Okendo
• Stamped.io
• Yotpo

Note

Reviews collected through a partner app must be managed within the same app. If you're considering switching to a different app, then you need to transfer all existing reviews before uninstalling the current app. For detailed guidance on migrating reviews from one app to another, refer to the instructions provided by the partner apps that you're using.

Eligibility requirements for displaying partner app-collected reviews on Shop

When you sync a partner app to Shop product reviews, Shop checks your reviews to ensure that they meet the following eligibility requirements before displaying them on Shop:

• The review abides by all of the eligibility requirements for displaying reviews on Shop.
• Reviews from an app partner must be linked in metaobjects to a verified customer with a Customer ID, Order ID, and Product ID. If a review doesn't include all 3 of these IDs, then it can't be displayed on Shop.
• The review doesn't include non-English language code.
• Reviews that have been migrated between app review partners using a CSV, or that are uploaded to your store from a CSV aren't eligible to display in Shop.

Display partner app-collected reviews on Shop

You can display reviews collected by supported partner apps on Shop. Reviews left for your products through these partner apps automatically display on Shop, and are included in Shop average ratings.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.

2. Click Shop.

3. Click Open sales channel.

4. Click Settings.

5. In the Shop reviews section, review your installed partner apps, and click the checkbox next to Display reviews from partner apps in the Shop app.

After you check the Display reviews from partner apps in the Shop app checkbox, all published partner-collected reviews with text are displayed in the Shop app. You can check the number of reviews from your partner app that are published to your Shop Store from the Reviews page of the Shop channel.

Note

The number of published reviews in the Shop app might be less than the number of reviews displayed in your partner app admin because reviews published on Shop must comply with the Shop Product Review Policies.

Displaying Shop reviews on your online store using partner apps

If you have a supported partner app installed, then any reviews that are published in the Shop app are automatically shared with those apps.

You can manage whether to publish Shop-collected reviews to your online store from the admin of your partner app.

Shop-collected reviews that are displayed on your online store include a Verified by Shop badge, which indicates that the review was collected in Shop, and is verified to a product and order in Shopify. You can't remove the Verified by Shop badge from your Shop-collected reviews.
