Getting started checklist for the Shopify Collective app

This checklist outlines all the steps that you need to take to start selling products with Shopify Collective. You might find it helpful to print this checklist or to download it as a PDF so that you can refer back to it.

To find suppliers and activate partnerships with them on Shopify Collective, complete the following tasks.

Installing and setting up Shopify Collective

Install the Collective (Retailer) app in your Shopify admin.

Navigate to the Overview section of the app, and then complete the task list.

Discovering and connecting with suppliers

Discover new suppliers and request to connect.

Invite suppliers.

Setting up policies and importing products

Review your policies for how you manage your products and how you process customer returns.

Import products shared by your suppliers after you connect.

Merchandise the imported products, set them to active, and then add them to your online sales channels.

Selling Shopify Collective products and working with your suppliers

Start selling Shopify Collective products on your store as suppliers handle fulfillment and sync tracking information with you.

Manage all customer communications, including order and shipping confirmations.

Pay suppliers after they fulfill orders, and track your payouts, displayed as Shopify Collective Debit.

Handle return requests and customer refunds.
