Managing and creating policies in the Shopify Collective app
You can edit a default policy for all your suppliers, or you can set up custom policies and apply them to specific suppliers. You can create up to 50 custom policies for each policy type.
Before you set up any policies, review the information about returns policies and product policies in the Shopify Collective app.

Edit a default policy
Default policies apply to all your suppliers unless you create a custom policy for specific suppliers. You can edit a default policy to meet your particular requirements.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
Click Collective (Retailer).
Click Open app.
From the Collective (Retailer) app, click Settings.
In the Policies section, click the policy type where you want to make changes.
Click the Default policy.

Edit your policy rules:
- In the Rules section, click Edit for the rule that you want to edit.
- Make your changes for the rule, and then click Done.
Click Save.
Create a custom policy
You can create a custom policy to apply specific rules to selected suppliers.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
Click Collective (Retailer).
Click Open app.
From the Collective (Retailer) app, click Settings.
In the Policies section, click the policy type where you want to add a custom policy.
In the Custom section, click Add policy.
In the Name field, enter a name for your policy.

Set up your policy rules:
- In the Rules section, click Edit for the rule that you want to set up.
- Select the options for your rule, and then click Done.

Add suppliers to your policy:
- In the Suppliers section, click Add suppliers.
- Select the suppliers that you want to apply your policy to.
- Click Done.
Click Save.
Edit a custom policy
You can edit a custom policy at any time.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
Click Collective (Retailer).
Click Open app.
From the Collective (Retailer) app, click Settings.
In the Policies section, click the policy type where you want to edit a custom policy.
In the Custom section, click the custom policy that you want to edit.
Make any adjustments to your policy.
Click Save.
Delete a custom policy
You can delete a custom policy at any time, but you can't delete a default policy.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
Click Collective (Retailer).
Click Open app.
From the Collective (Retailer) app, click Settings.
In the Policies section, click the policy type where you want to delete a custom policy.
In the Custom section, click the custom policy that you want to delete.
Click Delete policy, and then click Delete.
