Setting your Handshake preferences

You need to set a minimum order value that retailers need to place before they can order from your business. You also need to include information about your shipping and returns policies.

Set a minimum order value

Your minimum order value is the lowest value order that you're willing to accept from a retailer. For example, if you don't fulfill any orders under $200, then you would enter 200 as your Minimum order value.

The minimum order value that you enter is visible to retailers on your Handshake supplier profile and on every product details page.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Handshake > Preferences.
  2. In the Minimum order value section, enter a minimum order value and then click Save.

Add information about your shipping and returns terms

In the Shipping and returns section, you need to add information about your shipping and returns policies such as order processing time, returns and refunds policy, shipping fees, shipping options, and any other important information related to shipping.

If you plan to charge for shipping after you receive an order, then you have to set proper expectations for retailers and include this information in your shipping policy in the Shipping and returns section.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Handshake > Preferences.
  2. In the Shipping and returns section, add information about your order processing and shipping times, returns, and refund policies.
  3. Click Save.
