You can view and edit your store's notifications in the Notifications section of your Shopify admin.

Notifications are triggered by specific events in your store and your Shopify admin. Review the following event and notification examples:

  • A customer places an order, and the Order confirmation notification is sent to a customer.
  • You fulfill an order, and the Shipping confirmation notification is sent to a customer.
  • You refund an order, and the Order refund notification is sent to a customer.

Your store's customer email notifications are supported by the following major email clients:

  • Apple Mail 8,9
  • Outlook 2007 and later
  • Thunderbird
  • iOS Mail for iPad and iPhone
  • Gmail on Android
  • AOL Mail
  • Gmail (web app)
  • Office 365

If you're on the Shopify Plus plan, then you can contact Shopify Support to turn off specific email and SMS notifications in your store.
