Klarna for Shopify Payments
Klarna for Shopify Payments is a secure local payment method that lets you offer your customers a range of flexible payment options when paying for their orders. When a customer chooses a Klarna payment option at checkout, the funds for the order are paid out in your next Shopify Payments payout, and the customer pays for the order according to the payment option they choose. Offering Klarna at checkout gives your customers more options when paying for orders.
The Klarna for Shopify Payments options that your customer can choose at checkout depend on the Shopify Payments region that your store is based in, where your customer is located, and the currency that your customer selects. When available in their region and selected currency, customers can choose from the following payment options at checkout:
- Klarna Pay Later: When your customer chooses Klarna Pay Later, they agree to pay for their order at a later date. The customer can sometimes choose between a two-week and a two-month pay-back schedule.
- Klarna Pay Now: When your customer chooses Klarna Pay Now, they pay for their order using their online banking details. Klarna Pay Now connects with the customer's bank account and the funds are debited from their account immediately.
- Klarna Pay in 3: When your customer chooses Klarna Pay in 3, they pay for their order over three interest-free payments. The total transaction amount is typically spread equally across the installments.
