Considerations when using TWINT for Shopify Payments

Before activating TWINT for Shopify Payments, review the following considerations:

  • Your customers must be located in Switzerland and select CHF currency to pay for their order. If your customer is in a different location or if they don't select an eligible currency, then the option to checkout using TWINT isn't available.
  • When your customers pay for their orders using TWINT, the funds are captured immediately and added to your next available payout.
  • You can issue full or partial refunds for orders placed using TWINT. These refunds are managed in the same way as Shopify Payments credit card or debit card refunds. Learn more about refunds with Shopify Payments.
  • Your customers can dispute a TWINT transaction by contacting their bank. Disputed transactions are handled in the same manner as Shopify Payments transactions. Learn more about managing chargebacks with Shopify Payments.
  • Your customers can't pay for subscription products using TWINT.
