Local payment methods

Caution

If you want to accept local payment methods in countries other than the country your business is located in, then ensure you have those countries listed as a market that you sell to. To learn more about payments with international sales tools, refer to Payments.

Local payment methods are region-specific payment options that let your customers pay using their preferred payment methods. Local payment methods are fully integrated with Shopify Payments, which means that all orders processed through local payment methods are included in your Shopify Payments payouts with other payments such as credit and debit card transactions.

Using local payment methods with Shopify Payments offers several key benefits:

• Your customers have more options when paying for their orders when you offer local payment methods at checkout.
• Transactions you process with local payment methods are automatically included in your Shopify Payments payouts and financial reports.
• You can manage orders paid for using local payment methods from your Shopify admin.

Note

You must deactivate any conflicting additional payment gateways before you can enable local payments methods.
