Change your gift card expiry settings
Gift cards can be set to expire after a specific amount of time. By default, gift cards don't expire because it's illegal in some countries for gift cards to expire. If you set an expiry date, then, by default, the cards expire after five years. However, you can change the length of the expiry date. Verify that you are following the rules and regulations for gift cards in your country.
Steps:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Gift Cards.
- From the Shopify app, go to Store > Settings.
- Under Store settings, tap Gift cards.
- From the Shopify app, go to Store > Settings.
- Under Store settings, tap Gift cards.
Click Gift cards expire.
Set the expiration details for your gift cards.
Click Save.
