Shopify Email pricing

Shopify Email is available on Basic, Shopify, Advanced Shopify, and Shopify Plus plans. All stores on these plans have 10,000 free emails to send at the beginning of every month. After you send 10,000 emails, charges apply.

Email pricing rules

Shopify Email cost is calculated using the following rules:

• Emails are counted based on each individual email address that an email activity is sent to. For example, sending 1 promotional email to 800 subscribers counts as 800 emails.
• The free 10,000 emails are shared across all email campaigns that you send in a calendar month.
• You can send additional emails beyond the 10,000 free emails at a cost of $1 USD per 1,000 additional emails up to 300,000 emails. After you reach 300,000 emails, your pricing is $0.65 USD per 1,000 additional emails. After you reach 750,000 emails, your pricing is $0.55 USD per 1,000 additional emails. You aren’t billed for the additional emails until the cost reaches $0.005 USD.
• Abandoned checkout automations aren't counted and are always free.
• You're charged only for the emails that you send.
• Unused emails don’t carry over to the following month.

For example, if you send 2 email campaigns in October to 6,000 subscribers per campaign, then the cost for 12,000 emails is as follows:

• 10,000 free emails
• 2,000 emails chargeable at $1 USD per 1,000 emails, for a total for $2 USD

View Shopify Email costs on your Shopify bill

Any additional email costs are added to your Shopify bill for the previous month as Marketing emails. For further details about the cost of each email activity, click View details in the Billing section of your Shopify admin.
