Talking to Kit

You can use Kit to run ads on Facebook and Instagram, get reports on your business, post social media updates, and set business goals.

If you have morning check-ins enabled, then Kit messages you on weekday mornings to ask if you need any help. Otherwise, you can just text hi kit or just hi to start a conversation.

Conversations with Kit

From the Kit dashboard, you can change how often Kit messages you with advertising opportunities:

  • Morning check-in - Turn this on to let Kit message you each morning to ask if there's anything you want it to do.
  • Market new products - Turn this on to let Kit ask you if you want to advertise the new products that you've added to your store.
  • Reinvest ad profits - Turn this on to let Kit encourage you to reinvest profits from your ads into more advertising.
  • Retarget potential customers - Turn this on to receive a message when Kit identifies a potential customer clicking on one of your ads.
  • Report on ad spend - Turn this on to have Kit send you a daily report on how your ads are performing.
  • Run Instagram ads - Turn this on to have Kit prompt you to turn uploaded photos and videos into Instagram ads.
  • Talk to Yotpo - Turn this on to have Kit prompt you to turn 5-star Yotpo reviews into ads.

How to talk to Kit

Kit is always ready to help. Kit starts conversations by presenting you with different options. Talking with Kit is as easy as selecting which option you want.

Choose options

When Kit prompts you for an answer, you can respond with a number to choose one of the options:

How far back would you like to be updated?

  1. 1 day
  2. 7 days
  3. 14 days
  4. 31 days

Start over

You can say hi kit or hi at any time to start a new conversation with Kit, even if you're in the middle of a conversation. This cancels whatever you were doing with Kit.

Hi Kit

Hi, let's get started. Please tell me what you'd like to do (respond with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) or text me a horizontal photo and I will use it to create a social post or ad for you.

Take a break

You can take a break from talking to Kit. Send the message stop to cancel messaging. When you're ready to chat again, you can enter start to resume messaging. You can also pause messages to stop them temporarily.

Pause

Text pause to disable Kit's proactive updates. When paused, Kit only responds to your messages and won't message you directly.

You can text resume to start getting proactive messages again.

OK. I will stop sending you morning texts ASAP. Text Kit 'resume' to start receiving morning updates again!

Stop

Text stop if you want to cancel all messages from Kit. This stops all messaging from Kit but does not remove Kit from your store.

Text start if you want to start talking to Kit again.

You are now unsubscribed from Kit messages. No more messages will be sent. Reply HELP for help or START if you want to get messages from Kit again.

Please note that this does NOT cancel your Kit subscription. You must log in to Kit and navigate to 'Settings' if you want to cancel your account. www.kitcrm.com/settings
