After your store starts showing up in AI shopping conversations, the Shopify Knowledge Base app provides data on what questions customers are asking about your business through AI agents, and how often.

Activity metrics in the Shopify Knowledge Base app
You can view data on how well AI shopping agents can answer questions about your business in the Activity section of the Shopify Knowledge Base app.
Review the following table to learn more about the available metrics and what information they provide in the Shopify Knowledge Base app.
Metric | Description |
---|---|
FAQ query volume | The amount of AI shopping queries about your business. |
Query resolution rate | The percentage of queries that AI shopping agents are able or unable to answer. |
Query log in the Shopify Knowledge Base app
You can view the questions customers are asking in AI shopping conversations and whether the AI shopping agents are able to answer the question in the Query log section of the Shopify Knowledge Base app. To view the full list of queries, click View full query log.
Use the following filters to preview different types of queries:
- All: All queries that were asked by customers.
- Answered: Queries that the AI agent was able to answer successfully.
- Unanswered: Queries that the AI agent was unable to answer.
The query data includes the following information:
- Agent: The AI shopping agent where the query was asked.
- Query: The specific question that was asked.
- Matched to: What source the AI shopping agent used to answer the query. This can include existing store information, or previously created FAQs.
- Date: The date and time that the query was asked.
