Managing your cameras

After you've installed Store Cam and connected it to your Nest account, you can connect your cameras to their Point of Sale locations.

When your locations and cameras are connected, you can view the live feeds for each location's cameras from the Store Cam page in Shopify.

Store Cam automatically shows each of the Point of Sale locations that you've set up in Shopify. Learn more about setting up locations.

Connect store cameras to a Point of Sale location

After you've installed Store Cam and connected it to your Nest account, you can connect each of your cameras to its Point of Sale location.

When you're selecting the cameras that you want to connect to a location, Store Cam shows all the cameras that you've added to your Nest account, arranged by the Nest structure that they belong to. Read more about managing multiple Nest structures with one Nest account.

To connect your store cameras to a Point of Sale location:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps.

  2. In the list of apps, click Store Cam. The page shows each of your available Point of Sale locations.

  3. Tap Connect cameras beside a location:

  4. The page shows all of your available cameras. Check the cameras that you want to connect to the Point of Sale location.

  5. When you've checked the cameras that you want to connect, click Save.

  6. The page lists all of the cameras are now connected to the location. Do one of the following:

    • If you missed a camera, then click Connect another camera to go back to the previous page.
    • If the list of connected cameras is correct, then click View camera snapshots to return to the Store Cam page.

After connecting cameras to the location, the Store Cam page shows a preview of the camera feeds in the section for that location:

Disconnect a camera from a Point of Sale location

After disconnecting a camera from a location, you won't be able to view the video feed or snapshots from the camera in Shopify.

To disconnect a camera from a Point of Sale location:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps.

  2. In the list of apps, click Store Cam. The page shows each of your available Point of Sale locations.

  3. Click Manage cameras beside the location that the camera's connected to:

  4. Click Remove beside the camera that you want to disconnect.

  5. In the Remove camera dialog, click Remove.
