Location settings

The Locations page contains the name and address of each of your stores, headquarters, warehouses, and pop-up shops. When taxes are applied to an in-person order, the POS device's selected location is used to decide which tax rates are applicable.

Add a store location

You can add a new POS location.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Locations.

  2. Click Add location.

  3. Enter the details of your new location.

  4. Click Save.

Edit a store location

You can change the name, address, or telephone number of an existing location.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Locations.

  2. Click the name of the location that you want to edit.

  3. Update the location's information.

  4. Click Save.

Delete a store location

You can delete a POS location.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Locations.

  2. Click the name of the location that you want to delete.

  3. If the location is active, then click Deactivate location. Select a location to assign this location's inventory and unfulfilled orders to, and then click Deactivate location.

  4. Click Delete location.

  5. If you're sure that you want to delete the location, then click Delete to confirm.
