Select a Shopify POS location

If you use Shopify POS at more than one address, then you can set the current location of your Shopify POS device. This makes sure that you apply the right taxes to your in-person orders and that you can track the orders placed each physical location. The selected location’s inventory count is updated whenever a product is sold or restocked on Shopify POS.

Products with tax overrides will use the tax override's rate over the device's location.

Select a location on iPad

You can select a location on your iPad.

Steps:

  1. From Shopify POS, tap Store, and then tap Locations.

  2. If your location is not on the list, then tap Edit locations > Add location and create a new location.

  3. Tap a location, and then tap Switch.

Select a location on iPhone

You can select a location on your iPhone.

Steps:

  1. From Shopify POS, tap Store, and then tap Locations.

  2. If your location is not on the list, then tap Edit locations > Add location and create a new location.

  3. Tap a location, and then tap Switch.

Select a location on Android

You can select a location on your Android device.

Steps:

  1. From Shopify POS, tap Store, and then tap Locations.

  2. If your location is not on the list, then tap Edit locations > Add location and create a new location.

  3. Tap a location, and then tap Switch.
