Editing a customer profile on Shopify POS
You can change an existing customer's information in their profile, and choose whether your customer accepts marketing.
To view the accepts email and SMS marketing options on Shopify POS, you need to activate SMS and email marketing in the Settings > Checkout > Marketing options section of your Shopify admin. To view the SMS marketing option, your POS app also needs to be on at least version 9.28.
Steps:
- From the Shopify POS app, tap Customers in the taskbar.
- Type customer's name or email in the search bar.
- Tap the information icon beside the customer's name in the search results.
- Edit customer information on the Edit customer screen. You can edit information such as name, address, and preferences.
- Optional: If your customer accepts marketing, then turn on one or both of the following options:
- Accepts email marketing
- Accepts SMS marketing
- Tap Save.
