Searching for a customer profile on the Shopify POS app

You can search for customers in the Shopify POS app in the following ways:

• the Add Customer screen
• the global search bar
• the navigation bar

Search from the Add Customer screen

Add new customers and search for existing customers on the same screen.

Steps

1. From the Shopify POS app, tap Add customer.
2. In the search bar, enter the customer's name or email.
3. In the search results, tap the customer's name.

Search from the global search bar

The global search bar allows you to search your entire store on the Shopify POS app, including customers. When you use the global search bar, the POS screen splits and the cart remains visible.

Steps

1. From the Shopify POS app, tap the magnifying glass icon to open the global search bar.
2. In the search bar, enter the customer's name or email.
3. Tap Customers.
4. In the search results, tap the customer's name.

Search from the navigation bar

Open your customer list from the navigation bar at the bottom of the Shopify POS app.

Steps

1. From the Shopify POS app, tap Customers in the navigation bar.
2. Tap the magnifying glass icon to open the search bar.
3. Enter the customer's name or email.
4. In the search results, tap the customer's name.
