Receiving purchase orders on Shopify POS

Staff can receive incoming purchase orders from suppliers on Shopify POS using the Purchase Orders POS UI extension. A purchase order must be created within the Stocky App first, and is displayed in the Stocky POS UI extension at the location receiving the purchase order.

Step 1: Add Purchase Orders to a POS device's smart grid

Make sure to add a Purchase Order tile to each POS device that will be receiving inventory.


  1. In the Shopify POS app, tap Add tile on the smart grid.
  2. Tap App > Stocky.
  3. In the Purchase Order field, tap Add.
  4. Tap Save.

Step 2: Receive a Purchase Order

  1. In the Shopify POS app, tap Purchase Orders on the smart grid.
  2. In the In transit tab, tap the purchase order that you want to receive.
  3. Tap the item in the shipment that you want to receive.
  4. Receive the items in one of the following ways:
    • To make all items as received and complete the order, tap Receive all.
    • To manually receive the order, complete the following for each item:
      1. Use your barcode scanner to scan the product, or manually update the number of products that were received. If there are products in the order that you want to reject, then use the Reject option to change the inventory that you are receiving.
      2. Tap Update to finish reviewing the product that you are receiving.
  5. After you review each product in the transfer, tap Receive (X) item(s).

The statuses for the items in the order are updated to reflect the choices that you made when receiving the purchase order. To update an item's status, you can click Action > Receive remaining items, or click Barcode scan and follow the steps above.
