Selling gift cards on Shopify POS
Gift cards are available to sell with all Shopify subscription plans. You can add gift card products in your Shopify admin, and then sell them in person using Shopify POS.
You can sell digital or physical gift cards using Shopify POS. To sell physical gift cards, you have the following options:
- You can order from a selection of premade designs or upload your own gift card design on the Shopify Hardware Store in supported countries. Gift cards purchased from the Shopify Hardware Store have a QR code on the back that can be scanned from the Shopify POS app or with a supported 2D barcode scanner.
- You can purchase physical gift cards from a third-party provider. Gift cards purchased from a third-party provider need to have a unique code printed on the card, and you can then enter this code in the Shopify POS app. The code needs to be from 8 digits to 20 digits long.
