Adding the Amazon sales channel

Before you start using the Amazon sales channel, make sure that you meet the eligibility requirements. If you're eligible, then you can activate the sales channel in your Shopify admin.

Eligibility requirements

To use the Amazon sales channel, you need to meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • You have a Professional Seller account on Amazon Seller Central, with selling on or enabled. Amazon charges a monthly subscription and fees for selling.
  • You sell in USD (for or in CAD (for You can only use the Amazon sales channel with the region that matches your store currency on Shopify.
  • Your return policy is as good or better than the Amazon return policy.
  • You are on an active Shopify plan.

Activate the sales channel

You can add the Amazon sales channel from the App store or you can activate it directly from your Shopify admin.

To activate the Amazon sales channel:

  1. On the Amazon account page, click Connect to Amazon.

  2. Follow the prompts to allow information to be shared between your Shopify and Amazon Seller Central accounts. When you're done, you'll be redirected back to your Shopify admin. In the User Permissions section of your Amazon Seller Central account, confirm developer access for Shopify.
