Setting up the Pinterest sales channel

To activate the Pinterest sales channel, you need to add it in your Shopify admin, and connect it to your Pinterest for Business account. When you activate the sales channel, Pinterest reviews your online store to make sure it meets the guidelines set out in their Advertising Rules. When your store is approved, Pins with links to approved products from your Shopify online store will feature buyable buttons so customers can buy them on Pinterest.

Add the Pinterest sales channel

After you've confirmed your online store's eligibility, you can add the Pinterest sales channel in your Shopify admin and begin the approval process:

Connect your Pinterest business account

After you've added the Pinterest sales channel in your Shopify admin, you need to connect it with your Pinterest business account. Your Pinterest account allows you to Pin your products with Rich Pins. The Pinterest sales channel enables Rich Pins for approved products to be turned into Buyable Pins on Pinterest.

To connect your Pinterest business account to Shopify:

  1. Click Connect your account.

  2. Click Connect to Pinterest.

  3. If you are logged into your Pinterest account, then click Authorize App. Otherwise, enter your login information, then click Authorize App.

Identify Pinterest sales in your Shopify admin

To view a list of your Pinterest sales:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.

  2. In the Filter orders drop-down menu, choose Sales channel and Pinterest.

  3. Click Add filter.

  4. From the Orders page, click the order number of the order you want to view. Each order placed directly through Pinterest is flagged in the Order Details area on the order's page.
