Getting started with the SFN app

You can learn more about what's needed to use the Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) app by referring to this checklist. You might find it helpful to print this page so that you can refer to it throughout the setup process.

Connecting Flexport to your store

To start using the SFN app, connect your store to Flexport.


  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Fulfillment Network.
  2. Click Connect your store.
  3. Connect Flexport to your Shopify store:
    • If you don’t have an account with Flexport, then connect with your Facebook, Google, or Shopify account.
    • If you already have a Flexport account, then sign in by using the credentials that you used to set up your Flexport account.
  4. Review the required accesses, and then click Allow.

After starting the setup process, it might take a few moments for your Shopify store to connect with Flexport and sync your products. When the syncing icon is replaced with a checkmark, your account and products are connected, and a new location is created in your Shopify store for products to be fulfilled by Flexport. This new location is called SFN - Flexport.

Review your inventory on Flexport

If you want to review your synced products, then you can do so in Flexport. After connecting your Shopify store to Flexport, products are synced every four hours, so there might be a delay before newly-created products are automatically displayed in Flexport.


  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Fulfillment Network.
  2. Click Go to Flexport.
  3. Click Inventory.
  4. Optional: To resync your product catalog and include products added within the last four hours, click Sync Catalog.

If a product still isn’t displayed after syncing your catalog, then review your product to verify that it meets Flexport’s requirements:

  • Products must be active.
  • Products must have a title.
  • Products must have a SKU value for every variant.
  • SKU values must not contain spaces or special characters.
