Searching your Shopify admin
You can use the search bar to find apps, customers, orders, products, sales channels, and other information within your Shopify admin. You can access the search bar from your Shopify admin on desktop, or from the Home page of the Shopify app.
Searching your admin from desktop
To start your search, you can click the search bar, or press ctrl + K on a PC, or command + K on a Mac to jump directly to the search bar.
The search bar lists your most recent searches, and you can filter your results to display specific types of information.
Search results display a maximum of seven items. If there are more than seven results for your search, then click Show more results to list up to 20 additional results at a time. Two additional links display at the bottom of the search results that allow you to open the Shopify App Store or the Help Center to search for results.
When you open the search bar, the following five filters are featured by default:
- Apps
- Customers
- Orders
- Products
- Sales channels
Click the filter icon, or press / to display all available filters. In the list of filters, select the filter you want to apply.
When you type your search phrase, up to five smart filters display with the number of results indicated. These filters update as you continue to input your search.
Searching your admin from the Shopify app
You can search your Shopify admin from the Shopify app by tapping the 
icon in the Shopify app navigation section to open the search bar.
You can also search your products, orders, and customers pages by tapping the icon on the related page to open the search bar.
The search bar lists your most recent searches, and has filter options to filter your results to specific types of information. The Products, Orders and Customers overview searches apply specific filters by default.
When you open the search bar, the following filters are featured by default:
- All
- Orders
- Products
- Customers
You can tap All filters to select additional filters. Any additional filters will remain accessible in the filter bar until you close the Shopify app.
Select a filter to narrow your search, quickly access new entries, or to jump to products, orders or customers list views to filter and search. When you type your search phrase, the filters update to include all filters with matching results including result counts for easier searching. These filters continue to update as you continue to input your search.
