Shopify admin

Your Shopify admin is the central hub for managing all aspects of your store. You can access it on desktop or mobile devices.

Accessing your Shopify admin

You can access your Shopify admin from a desktop or from the Shopify mobile app:

Desktop: Log in at shopify.com/admin using your credentials.
Mobile: The Shopify app is avialable on iOS or Android to help you manage orders, products, and store analytics on a mobile device. Most features are available, but some advanced settings require you to be on a desktop.

Supported browsers

To use Shopify, you need to use an up-to-date web browser. If you don't use the latest version of your browser, then you might not be able to access your Shopify admin or use all its features. For best results, access Shopify using the latest version of Google Chrome.

Shopify supports the latest two versions of all major browsers, unless otherwise noted. Some browsers that are frequently used to access Shopify include:

If your browser displays a message that you need to update your browser when you try to access Shopify, then update your browser by following the prompts on the screen. If the message is still displayed after you update your browser, then you need to clear your cache. Staff permissions

Account owners can assign specific permissions to any staff members in their store. This lets account owners provide access to only the necessary information and actions that their staff need. Account owners can also set up template roles, to quickly assign and adjust sets of permissions to staff.

The following is a sample list of permissions that an account owner can grant to staff members:

View orders
Edit products
Manage discount codes
Export customer lists
Edit themes
View analytics

Shopify Home insights

The Home page of the Shopify admin displays real-time metrics such as sales and traffic, as well as task reminders and growth tips for your business.

Notifications highlight urgent actions or events, such as unpaid orders that still need to be captured.

Search functionality

Use the search bar (keyboard shortcut: Ctrl/Cmd + K) to find orders, products, apps, or customers. You can filter results by category, such as orders or apps.
