Shopify Academy
Shopify Academy offers free and paid courses about a range of topics about Shopify, such as running a store, working with merchants as a Partner, or learning how to create and run a B2B store. As a Shopify Partner, Shopify Academy helps you build credibility and advance in the Partner Program through verified skills and assessments. When you complete courses and pass assessments, you'll earn a verified skill badge that showcases your expertise to potential clients. Verified skills contribute to your progression through partner tiers, helping you unlock additional benefits and opportunities. You can learn more about the tiers and benefits in the Shopify Partner Program guides for the Service Partner Track and the Technology Partner Track.

Verified skills badge
To earn a verified skill badge, you need to purchase and complete verified skill badge courses on Shopify Academy.
After you complete the course, you'll also need to pass the associated assessment or exam with the minimum required score. Verified skills badges are issued by Credly. Credly automatically sends you an email when you pass an assessment or exam to accept your verified skill badge. The passing score for a verified skill badge is displayed on the landing page for each assessment.
You need to achieve a minimum score on an assessment to earn a verified skill badge. You can retake the assessment or exam. The retake fee and the minimum score for the assessment displays on the assessment page.
Verified skill badges are valid for 2 years upon completing the assessment. To maintain your verified skills, you'll need to retake assessments every two years. If you don't retake the assessment for the learning path, then the verified skill badge is removed from your Credly account.
You can display your verified skill badge on other platforms, such as LinkedIn. Learn more about sharing your badge to social media on Credly.
Email address requirements for the verified skills badge
The verified skill badge is awarded to the individual that completes the assessment. In order to get the verified skill badge associated with your Partner organization, you need to ensure the email address you use for your verified skills courses is connected to the Partner organization. You can add multiple email addresses to Credly and add both your personal and professional emails to your account.
Partner tier progression
Your verified skills can help you access higher tiers in the Partner Program. For Service Track Partners, there are minimums for the number of verified skills and the number of people on your team with verified skills in each tier. You can learn more in section 2.4 and 2.5 of the Service Partner Track program guide.
You can learn more about the tiers, benefits, and requirements of the Technology Partner Track in the program guide.
Both maintaining your tier and advancing to higher tiers require keeping your skills current and meeting other performance criteria based on your Partner Track.
