Manage orders individually in Shopify Mobile

From the Shopify Mobile Orders screen, you can tap an order to view its order history screen and take any necessary actions, such as taking payment or marking items as fulfilled.

Capture a payment

If you've configured your payment settings to capture payment manually, then you can capture payment for an order from the order's history screen.

To capture payment for an order:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap Capture:

  3. From the Capture Payment screen, tap the checkmark button:

After the payment is successfully processed, the order history screen updates to show that the order has been paid.

Mark an order as fulfilled

After you fulfill an order, you can can mark it as fulfilled from Shopify Mobile. When you mark an order as fulfilled, you can enter tracking and carrier information, and choose whether to send an email to the customer that lets them know of the shipment and its tracking information.

To mark an order as fulfilled:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Under UNFULFILLED ITEMS, tap Fulfill Items:

  3. By default none of the products in the order are selected. Tap the products that you want to mark as fulfilled:

  4. If you want to add a tracking number, then enter it in the TRACKING NUMBER field:

  5. If you want to add the carrier, then tap CARRIER and choose the correct one from the list:

  6. Tap the Notify customer via email toggle button to enable or disable the option.
  7. Tap the checkmark button.

The order history screen updates to show that the products in the order have been fulfilled.

Archive an order

When an order is paid and fulfilled, you can show that the order is completed by archiving it. The Orders screen displays archived orders in grey and without a circle. Archiving orders makes it easy to see that an order is complete and no longer needs your attention.

To archive an order:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap the button:

Resend a receipt

You can email an order receipt to the customer at any time from the order history screen.

To send a receipt to the customer:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap the button:

  3. Tap Resend receipt:

  4. Check that the email address is correct, and then tap Send email:

Refund an order

You can make a refund for an order at any time from the order history screen:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap the button:

  3. Tap Refund order:

  4. If you want the sold items to be returned to your inventory, then use the Restock items toggle button to enable the option.
  5. Next to each product that is being refunded, enter the quantity that's being refunded and returned to inventory, and then tap the next arrow:

  6. If you want to refund the cost of shipping, then tap the Refund Shipping toggle button to enable the option, and tap the next arrow:

  7. If you want to let the customer know about the refund, then tap the Notify customer via email toggle button to enable the option:

  8. If you want to add a note that explains the refund, then tap the REASON FOR REFUND field.
  9. Tap the checkmark button.

After the refund is processed, the order history screen updates to show the refund in the payment history:

Add an order note

You can add a note to an order from its order history screen. Order notes are for internal use only by default, but you can share them with customers by editing your notification templates to include order notes on receipts.

To add an order note:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap the ORDER NOTE field:

  3. Enter your order note, and then tap Done:

Capture a payment

To mark an order as fulfilled:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap Line Items:

  3. If you want to fulfill all of the order's line items, then tap Fulfill All:

  4. If you want to fulfill only certain items from the order, then tap those items, and then tap Fulfill Items:

  5. If you want to add a tracking number, then enter it in the Tracking Number field or tap the barcode icon to scan a tracking barcode with your Android's camera:

  6. If you want to add the name of the carrier, then tap Courier and select the carrier from the list.
  7. Use the Notify customer via email toggle button to select whether the customer will be sent a notification with the fulfillment and tracking details.
  8. Tap Done.

The Line Items screen updates to display the items as fulfilled:

Archive an order

Refund an order

You can make a refund for an order at any time from the order history screen:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap the button:

  3. Tap Refund:
    Open order more menu android
  4. By default, Restock items is enabled. If the refunded products are not being returned to inventory, then tap the option's toggle button to disable the option:

  5. If you want to refund shipping costs, then tap the Refund shipping toggle button to enable the option:

  6. If items in the order are being returned, then enter the number of returned items next to each product.
  7. Tap Next.
  8. Shopify Mobile displays a recommended refund based on the products and costs that are being refunded. If you want to change the amount being refunded, then tap the Credit field to edit the amount:

  9. Tap Next.
  10. If you want to inform the customer of the refund, then tap the Notify customer via email toggle button to enable the option:

  11. If you want to add a note that explains the refund, then tap the Reason for refund field.
  12. Tap Done to process the refund.

After the refund is processed, the order history screen updates to show the refund in the payment history:

Add an order note

You can add a note to an order from its order history screen. Order notes are for internal use only by default, but you can share them with customers by editing your notification templates to include order notes on receipts.

To add an order note:

  1. From the Orders screen, tap an order to see its order history screen.
  2. Tap the NOTES field:
