Point of sale receipts
The Receipt screen appears after you've taken payment for an order. From the Receipt screen, you have a few options:
|To email a receipt to the customer||Tap Email Receipt. If the order is associated with a customer, tapping this field will automatically send the receipt. You can also manually enter an email address for the customer.|
|To print a receipt||Tap Print Receipt. This option is available only if you're using Shopify POS with retail package and have a receipt printer installed.|
|To return to the products and cart screen||Tap Start New Order.|
Print receipts automatically
If you're using Shopify POS for iPad with the retail package and you have a receipt printer installed, then you can activate automatic receipt printing:
Go to the Shopify POS app Settings screen on your iPad.
Tap General to access the general settings.
In the RECEIPTS section, enable the Always print receipts option by tapping its toggle button:
Produce gift receipts
The gift receipt option will appear only if you have the receipt printer.
On the Orders screen of Shopify POS, you can print a gift receipt. The gift receipt option will not display your products' prices.
On the Orders screen, tap the order you want to view.
At the bottom of the order, tap Receipt.
