Adding Google Shopping product data

The Google Shopping channels uses product data to categorize your products for Google Shopping ads. You can add data to the following fields directly in the Shopify admin:

  • barcode (GTIN)
  • custom product (if the product has no GTIN)
  • product category
  • age group
  • gender
  • condition
  • custom labels
  • manufacturer's part number (MPN)

Add Google Shopping product data for a single product

You can add product data for a single product:

  1. From the Shopify admin, go to Google Shopping > Products.

  2. Click the pencil icon.

  3. Check This product has a manufacturer part number (mpn) to add a manufacturer part number.

  4. In the Product categorization section, make changes to the product data.

  5. Check Enable custom campaign labels for this product to add custom campaign labels.

  6. Click Save.

Add Google Shopping product data for several products

You can add product data for several products at once:

  1. From the Shopify admin, go to Google Shopping > Products.

  2. Check the products that you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit products.

  4. Use the drop-down menu in each category to change the product data.

  5. Click Save.
