Multi-Channel Fulfillment by Amazon

You can store your inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers and have Amazon pick, pack, and ship your Shopify orders by using the Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) and Buy with Prime app. You import and fulfill these orders directly from your Shopify admin, and you don't need to sell on Amazon to use the app.

The app supports both Multi-Channel Fulfillment and Buy with Prime, but you don't need to use Buy with Prime to fulfill orders with MCF. Learn more about Buy with Prime.

Requirements for using the Multi-Channel Fulfillment by Amazon app

To use the Multi-Channel Fulfillment by Amazon app, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • You fulfill orders in the United States.
  • You sell to customers with US addresses.
  • You have an Amazon Seller Central account.

If you need to fulfill orders with MCF outside of the United States, then you can install a different app that offers integrations with MCF services in the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Australia, Spain, and the United States.

Setting up Multi-Channel Fulfillment by Amazon

To set up Multi-Channel Fulfillment in the Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime app, you need to complete the following:

  • Connect an Amazon Seller Central account.
  • Manage your inventory across your locations and fulfillment apps.
  • Configure your settings in the app.

Products that aren't assigned to a fulfillment service location are assigned to your store's default location. You can manually assign the inventory to the app's location.

Migrating from Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)

If you previously used Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), then update all of your product and product variant inventory from FBA to MCF after you install the app. To link existing orders to the MCF fulfillment service, you can duplicate any unfulfilled orders that have products fulfilled by Amazon. From an order's details page, click More actions, and then select Duplicate. After the order is duplicated, its location is displayed as MCF instead of FBA for the relevant products.

Order management system (OMS) compatibility

Some OMS apps might be compatible with Multi-Channel Fulfillment by Amazon and split shipping on Shopify. Learn more about split shipping compatibility.
